The Friendliest Cycling Community
Who We Are
There is a Greek term, Koinania, that captures the essence of a group ride. It means communion by participation. There is something innately intimate and comfortably familiar about suffering together on a group ride. All ages, income levels, backgrounds, political philosophies and religious beliefs come together around one common bond: the bike ride. Whether you find yourself struggling to stay on the wheel in front of you or you drop back to pull a weary rider into the fold of the group, the pain is palpable. You grow to learn one another’s weaknesses and strengths. You don’t judge. You joy in each triumphant high-speed pull or leg-exploding climb.
It’s community. It’s found at Hb.
